Doing art is the way I have always integrated experiences; bringing the outside to the inside, the inside to the outside, the invisible to the visible. It is a powerful vehicle for me and I love working on that ambiguous edge. My drawings lean towards the representational, my paintings pushing into more numinous realms, the sculptural pieces spanning both. I feel fortunate to have found this practice early in my life.
I am a mixed media artist living and working in Woodacre, CA. I taught art and art history for 26 years and recently retired, happy to be devoting more time to my own work. I have paintings in private and corporate collections around the country and I participate in numerous local exhibits. I have a B.F.A. in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute and an M.A. from the University of San Francisco.
